Known as the La Dame De Fer (Iron Lady) in French, the Eiffel Tower is one of the most-visited monuments in the World. To celebrate its grandeur, March 31st is observed as Eiffel Tower Day, to mark the day it was installed. 

The Eiffel Tower was originally made as the entrance gateway to the 1889 World’s Fair in Paris, France. 

Designed by Gustave Eiffel, this tower has stood the test of time and has become a symbol of love and beauty. This iron monument is 330 Metres tall!  During its construction, the Eiffel Tower surpassed the Washington Monument to become the tallest human-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years until the Chrysler Building in New York City was finished in 1930.

  • The Eiffel Tower grows a few inches due to the heat in the summer

The Eiffel Tower has long been considered an architectural marvel. However, it was originally meant to be dismantled after 20 years of its construction. However, its importance as a radio transmission tower saved it from demolition. 

This great wonder of Paris, France, will be 137 years old this year. To celebrate its beauty, the world observes this day. The Eiffel Tower remains a timeless symbol of Parisian elegance and innovation.
